Home matches take place at the Allianz Arena in Fröttmaning. Its illuminated exterior, modern facilities and powerful European-night atmosphere make it one of football's most recognisable venues.

Bayern reported 432,500 members at its annual general meeting in November 2025. Demand for tickets regularly exceeds supply, and many seats are allocated through the membership priority system. Public-sale tickets are limited and can sell out quickly.

Stadium
Allianz Arena
Opened in 2005, the Allianz Arena immediately became one of the most recognisable stadiums in world football. Its exterior is covered in thousands of illuminated ETFE panels.
The fully enclosed bowl has no running track, meaning every seat feels close to the action. Facilities and sightlines are among the best in Europe.
Südkurve
The home of Bayern's most active supporters. Coordinated singing, flags and choreographies make it the atmosphere engine of the stadium.
Nordkurve
Another active supporter area with standing sections and a strong atmosphere, although generally less intense than the Südkurve.
Main & East Stands
Seated areas with excellent views, modern facilities and the greatest level of comfort.

One of Europe's great football museums.

Stadium Tour
Go behind the scenes.
Stadium tours usually include the players' tunnel, dressing rooms, press areas and pitch-side access. Museum and tour tickets can be combined.
Booking Tip
Pre-booking is strongly recommended, especially on matchdays and during peak tourism periods.
Getting There
U6 to Fröttmaning.
From Marienplatz, take the U6 towards Garching-Forschungszentrum and alight at Fröttmaning.
Travel time from central Munich is approximately 20 minutes, followed by a short walk to the stadium.
From Munich Airport, take the S1 or S8 to the city centre and continue by U6. Allow approximately 50–65 minutes.
Parking is available, but the P+R system is often more convenient for visitors arriving by car.
Before The Match
Arrive 90–120 minutes early.
Early arrival gives you time to visit the museum, browse the large fan shop, take photographs and experience the changing atmosphere around the stadium.
The Arena At Night
Seeing the Allianz Arena glow red at dusk is one of the most striking visual experiences in European football.
Attendance & Atmosphere
Biggest on the biggest nights.
The atmosphere is strongest for Champions League nights, Der Klassiker and decisive Bundesliga fixtures. The Südkurve leads the support and drives the noise around the stadium.
Bundesliga fixtures often include many international visitors, but major European matches reveal the arena at its most intense.
Pre-Match Tradition
Stern des Südens.
Before kick-off, supporters sing “Stern des Südens”. On Champions League nights, the UEFA anthem adds another layer to the entrance.
European Nights
When the arena is illuminated and the teams emerge for a major European fixture, the sense of occasion is exceptional.

The Allianz Arena is highly polished and easy to navigate. The enclosed bowl keeps the sound inside, while the steep tiers create strong views from almost every position.

After The Match
Let the U6 clear.
The U6 becomes extremely busy after the final whistle. Waiting 20–30 minutes before leaving can make the return journey much more comfortable.
Munich's old town, Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt remain lively after matches. In warmer months, the city's beer gardens are an excellent post-match option.
